Trident 3 : Hot Karachi
“It’s Thunderball meets Tropic Thunder meets Confessions of a Dangerous Mind!”
1960’s Dark Comedy Spy Thriller
Hot Karachi pays homage to the spy themed films and television series generated in the U.K. in the 1960’s. Rear projected driving scenes, blatant stuntman use, glass matte painting and the luster of Technicolor are all invited for this explosive reunion. Dashing leading men fill the screen, only to be undone by buxom beauties. The only thing that sizzles more than the romance is the action!
The story revolves around Liz Winkle, a disillusioned Ministry of Defense operative who begrudgingly plays the sexpot Cherry Mumford in the film series “Trident 3” as cover for her covert assignments around the world. Her desire to be taken seriously as an intelligence operative is frequently derailed by a misogynist environment and her own personal shortcomings. Her male costars are unaware that there is a legitimate spy in their ranks, and go about their business as World Famous film stars, not knowing that they are often a heartbeat away from genuine peril. Cheeky hijinx and the fantasy of scripted intrigue disappears when real life danger on location in Karachi drags the naive actors into the line of fire. Liz has to hope they learned some skills acting as spies if they want to survive.
