Trenton Grimes (born May 9, 2007) is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Centre County, Pennsylvania, his career began when he started sharing his talent on the social media platform TikTok. He continuously posted on the platform expressing his love for the meaning of music, and sharing relatable connections towards his audience. He has always been deeply inclined in the meaning of music. He continued to gain popularity on TikTok and shortly after, other platforms.
Trenton's first debut single, "Yours.", was released in February 2024. Prior to releasing 'Yours.', Grimes has stated he had multiple altercations when creating and publishing music. Grimes stated in a live stream in 2024, "I felt the music I had published before did not express my meaning for the music in the intended way not only quality but meaning as well. I felt like the music I previously have published was not me. Going forward in my career my aim is to create music that is authentic to me." Since the statement, Grimes has since released 'It Aint Me (Breakup Remix)' in March and has endorsed the idea that the song is aimed towards his healing process during one of the hardest times of his life, the music now reaching hundreds of thousands of audience who comes across his profiles amongst social media. Early life

Trenton Grimes grew up having 3 brothers and two sisters. Grimes first discovered his musical talent at a very young age. Grimes has shown short videos throughout his childhood of his self dancing and singing. Growing up in a small town, Grimes took every opportunity to enhance his musical knowledge, attending studio’s, programs, and participating in theatre performances. His first public performance was seen in 2020, where he took on the role of Bert Healy in a local academic theatre showing of "Annie”.

From a young age, Grimes faced significant challenges. His parents separated when he was just a toddler. Due to unfortunate situations with his living environment, Grimes moved with his grandparents at the age of seven. Grimes has made statements expressing that his past experience's made his journey to confidence and co-dependency difficult but ultimately strong. These themes are often referenced in his music. Despite loving acting and theatre, something just wasn't right—it wasn't his dream. As he traveled through middle school, he faced bullies, some even physical, for his love of music and artists. But he never gave up on what he really wanted to do.

Grimes faced the opportunity of online schooling, which allowed him to distance himself from the extreme bullying he was facing. This new educational format not only provided a safer environment but also freed up valuable time for him to concentrate on his on-going career and personal development.

Trenton Grimes drew early musical inspiration from an inspiring pop artist Ariana Grande. Years after learning his favorite genre of Pop, he began taking singing to the next level. Grimes began posting videos to TikTok, and expressing his interest in music. Grimes has been posting influential content expressing his strength in difficult situations and viral trends.

Grimes began sharing snippets of his original music on TikTok, where he has amassed hundreds of thousands of viewers, and tens of thousands of new followers. In following of his first single release. Trenton decided to collaborate with co-creators and influencers, whom he is a 4 time collaborator on instagram shops with R.E.M Beauty, a brand by Ariana Grande. Grimes posted a video in September of 2024, linking a collaboration with Internet personality Peter Prankster performing a unreleased remix of his single "Yours", on which Trenton sang to the puppets to repair their satire-relationship. This collaboration video has reached hundreds of thousands of impressions.

In 2024, Grimes released an online statement expressing his need of a short hiatus on social media to work on his personal life and health. Grimes stated in the post, "The amount of support you have shown me, my career & my family is overwhelming. I've been able to spread my content, my music and share similar passion for the meaning of music to hundreds of thousands of audience in such a short time... I personally say thank you... With this being said I have been discarding a lot of personal priorities recently that I shouldn't have, including one of the main things in my vision of music, self-care. I am going to be announcing a hiatus from social media for a short time with full intents to continue striving in influencing and to continue streaming live. I see this as an opportunity to reconnect with myself and write my feelings along the way for the continuation of the upcoming album. I want to make sure lyrically everything is displayed in the intended way. I love you all, back in a few. Stronger, powerful and more kind."

In 2024, Trenton Grimes contested in a Rolling Stone competition 'Next Top Hitmaker'. Grimes achieved a milestone by placing in the semi-finals of the contest, where he outperformed a competitive field of 63,000 artists. His talent earned him a spot in the top 1% of participants, showcasing his talent and potential in the music industry.

Trenton Grimes has always been a strong advocate for self-love and mental health. His journey with self-love has been challenging, marked by past relationships and struggles that led to depression and an unbalanced mental state.
