Treasure
The short is an intimate exploration of the director's cultural identity journey and grief as a half Moroccan and British woman who lost both of her parents as a child.
Through moving image and poetry, 'Treasure' discusses homogeny, female support, otherness and racial social exclusion.

Kynza K-j is a British Moroccan Director who looks at intimate subjects within her work, such as Cultural Identity and grief through a fashion lens. Her work opens up a meaningful dialogue with her audience to tell hers, and the stories of many.
As a Director, my work is born from personal experiences. However seeks to be a way of communicating the stories of many mixed race people, or people who feel marginalised by society. I do this through creating fashion-led imagery and my own poetry, to create work that can speak to everyone universally.
