Experiencing Interruptions?

Tras la niebla

Caught in a mental loop, a man travels through time via analog formats like VHS and film photography. Temporal and visual transitions unravel a turbulent journey, reflecting on the fragmentation and struggle inherent in piecing together the sense of self. Rather than presenting identity as a fixed essence, the film reimagines it as a mosaic of fractured moments and memories, assembled in a relentless attempt to understand oneself.

Director Biography - Esteban Agudelo Franco

Artist and filmmaker based in Bogotá, Colombia, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2022).
My practice spans multiple media, from drawing and printmaking to video, all of which stem from my interest in reinterpreting everyday visual language. My early influences include artists like Hollis Frampton, Jasper Johns, Oscar Muñoz, Cy Twombly, and Julie Mehretu, whose approaches to abstraction and mark-making inspired my exploration of repetition, reappropriation, and visual archives.
