Director Statement

"Transgender Life in Slovenia" holds a very special place in my heart. Conceived and produced in association with TransAkcija, the only trans focussed organization in Slovenia, the film gave me, and my audiences, an opportunity to understand the challenges, and joys, of being transgender in this small, central European, country. Featuring both transgender and gender non-conforming people, many of them youth, the film is an intimate insight into their daily lives. It has been revered as an inspiration to trans people world-wide.
