Bea Morbach / Born in Marabá, Pará, filmmaker, first feature film. Directed the short dyke drama "Solo Desaparecido" (2020) and worked as a writer for the amazon-documentary TV series "Tapume" (2016).
Débora McDowell / Born in Belém, Pará, journalist, first feature film. Directed the amazon-fiction short film "Ruína" and the short documentary "I Will Not Be Interrupted", a Princeton University production about the brazillian councilwoman Marielle Franco. Currently finishing her second feature film, co-directed by Auritha Tabajara, indigenous woman, entitled "A Landless Woman".
Transamazonia is a political-visual manifest of three amazonian directors and two sweeping female protagonists; a film that transcends reality and fiction, based on the historical construction of LGBT people and Amazon's narratives: voices of resistance that break the silence.
