Traces of the First Light
"Traces of the First Light" unveils the poignant journey of a girl navigating a profound darkness, isolated from others. Lost and yearning for illumination, her quest mirrors the universal struggle to find light in the shadows.
Within every heart, beyond the enveloping darkness, resides a spark that transcends ignorance. The narrative explores the girl's journey through the complexities of right and wrong, passion, and goodness. In her ignorance, she grapples with uncertainties, sometimes reveling in passion and at other times repenting. It's in goodness that her soul begins to cultivate wisdom, allowing her to perceive reality in its true light. Enlightenment becomes a progression from ignorance toward goodness, liberating the soul from the illusions of maya and guiding it toward ultimate liberation, awakening the Atma.
The animation draws on themes of compassion and the dispelling of ignorance, echoing the profound words: "Out of compassion, I destroy the darkness of their ignorance. From within them, I light the lamp of wisdom and dispel all darkness from their lives."
"Traces of the First Light" emphasizes the karmic principle – the notion that those who engage in virtuous deeds will never face adverse consequences, both in the present and the future. The narrative serves as a reminder that goodness leads to positive outcomes, reinforcing the idea: "No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end, either here or in the world to come."
Ultimately, the animation encourages viewers to embrace a fearless existence, free from the shackles of apprehension. "Traces of the First Light" invites audiences to embark on a journey of self-discovery, enlightenment, and liberation from the darkness that surrounds us.

Motivated by a genuine desire to be a healing force, Narra's exhibitions showcase serene and compassionate paintings acknowledging individual struggles. "Naneri," a central character, personifies enlightenment and empathy, evolving with distinct characteristics in each exhibit.
Narra is a Filipino contemporary artist who took up Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising in Technological University of the Philippines.
A constant theme that runs through each of my stories is a message of kindness. Motivated by a genuine desire to be a healer through my art, I embark on a series of exhibitions characterized by serene and compassionate reflections on the struggles and pain inherent in the human experience. The main character in my exhibitions are young girls, clad in berets and uniforms, a personification of enlightenment, empathy and understanding. I call them “Naneri/s.” The revolutionaries of love. This character represents the support system that extends a helping hand to troubled souls, embodying the essence of kindness and compassion.
