Director Biography - Mark Denham

Mark Denham is an award-winning film director and writer based in London, UK, who began his career in 1993 when he was mentored by a family friend who is a theatre technician, he spent some time in theatre as a stage manager and assistant director.

Mark went on to work as a TV Extra in 1997 where he saw the director at work and decided directing film was his niche. Mark spent time learning as much as he could about filmmaking and create a few short films.

Mark is also on the ATLFF reading committee 2020 because he has such a passion for screenplays and the film industry.

Mark has various screenplays in different stages of production, two of which are competing in a film festival.

Director Statement

I hope to build a name for myself as a good director with a great vision. I’m hoping to be hired by studios to create awesome movies for them, so the world can enjoy great visual stories.

I am currently writing a screenplay which I hope to pique the interest of the creators of American Horror Story with a script about a supernatural Killer called Mr Piggy.
I dream of a life in Hollywood.
