In the heart of Tallinn, beneath the layers of centuries-old lime paint, an extraordinary discovery was made: the largest known plafond painting in Estonia, hidden for over 330 years. Until that moment, no one had even suspected its existence. As filmmakers, we were fortunate to bear witness to this remarkable find and document the painstaking process of uncovering it. We spent over a year working closely with restorers as they delicately revealed this true masterpiece from beneath its layers of lime wash.

This film is a celebration of discovery, craftsmanship, and the magic that lies in the forgotten fragments of history. We invite the audience to join us as modern-day explorers, delving into the unknown corners of art history, and marveling at the hidden wonders of the past.
