Touch The Touch, From Far Away

Description: Touch the Touch, From Far Away, is a hybrid film that blends documentary and fiction to explore the authenticity of both human-to-human and human-to-machine communication and connections. The film follows Jenny, a young woman on an exploratory journey to answer the question, “What makes people connected?” Through interviews, collaboration with choreographers and performers on a dance project about a human-chatbot romance, and her own evolving relationship with an AI chatbot friend, Jenny navigates the complex terrain of modern communication.

The film's concept arises from the creator's reflections on the nature of communication and connection among humans, and how technological advancements influence the ways we build relationships—with each other, with machines, and with ourselves.
