Tosin is an actor, writer, director and proud son of Nigerian Immigrants now living in Kansas City, where he grew up.
Tosin is also an independent filmmaker whose festival-selected films include: "The Pulpit: Prelude", a crime thriller about a persecuted Pastor, "Endowed", a parable about fatherhood, and "On Sight", a social justice police thriller. His writing centers on stories of empathy, awareness and belonging.
On TV, he’s recurring on "Lawmen: Bass Reeves" (Paramount+), “The Chi” (Showtime), “Love Is (OWN), and “Black Lightning” (CW). He also guests on "NCIS" (CBS), "Stumptown" (ABC) and was a regular on the series “Run The World” (STARZ). In film, he co-stars in the action-heist "1992" (Lionsgate), the romantic comedy “Always A Bridesmaid” (Netflix) and starred in the erotic thriller "Friend Request". He also co-leads the Black soldier story "The 24th" by Oscar-winner Kevin Willmott (2020) and appears in the Blumhouse/Amazon psychological Thriller “BlackBox”. Up next, he'll lead Tyler Perry's "Finding Joy."
Tosin graduated from the University of Kansas in 2010, where his most proud achievement was founding the "Multicultural Theatre Initiative". As Artistic Director of the MTI, he produced 4 of his own original plays. He is also a poet and an improviser who has worked with Second City, Improv Olympic and “Those People”.
