Un impulso colectivo: Cortos
Graduated in Media Studies at the University of Malaga, in 2012 launched Revista Magnolia together with a group of colleagues, an online film magazine devoted to film criticism during five years. Since then he has been film critic in various media such as Otro Cines Europa or eCartelera. In 2016 he took part of the book “La Italia de Matteo Garrone”, published by the Gijon Film Festival (FICX).
Soon joined the press department of Festival Punto de Vista in 2016 and 2017, year in which joined the team that relaunched Festival Jóvenes Realizadores - Granada Film Fest, for which was in charge of press and programming during three editions.
In 2018 was selected at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, coursing a Film Curating Studies Postgraduate. Since 2021 has been appointed as the artistic director of Festival Jóvenes Realizadores - Granada Film Fest. Star-Nosed Mole (Topo estrellado) is his first short film.
Star-Nosed Mole is commissioned by the José Guerrero Center, the contemporary art museum of Granada, in dialogue with the exhibition of the homonymous painting by Domingo Zorrilla. An exceptional painting due to its long time production and the personality of its author. As the result of several conversations with him, I wanted to essay about our place inside time and art, in the manner of Víctor Erice's 'Dream of Light'. Quietly, as time goes by...
