Tomato soup

A young artist Boris (Bob) was born in St.
Petersburg in artists bohemia family. On
parent’s youth they got a present from
Warhol - a can of Campbell’s Tomato Soup.
Johanna Stingray brought some from USA
in 1986.
Cousin Pyotr from Moscow suddenly came
to visit Boris in a moment when he was
preparing an artist show. That caused
inconvenience for Bob especially when he
heard about mental problems of cousin. But
all goes well till the last evening when Pyotr
cooked a dinner and used for sous for
spaghetti-al-pomodoro the can of Warhol
soup.
Bob is crashed by news that family heirloom
destroyed.

When the children grew up and I had free time, I got the opportunity to make all my dreams come true.
Cinema is an interesting form of storytelling, a synthesis of all the arts, and now I understand that I can tell the story of a language that everyone understands. My brain enjoys creating complex intellectual objects and teamwork.
New knowledge and skill, and the opportunity to share with others is the only thing that has value.

Director Statement

We started a course of Filmmaking
Intensive by Massimo Guglielmi when
pandemic quarantine closed all countries
and locations in city and Maestro give us a
goal to make films with total deficit of
recourses. One of the heroes of film should
be St. Petersburg during or sharp after
isolation and I replace a history from our
student time took place in Aachen Germany
during student exchange. I connected two
real histories – our story and story of
Warhol presents to Leningrad artists in
1986.
