Tom Boyd-Hall is an 18-year-old film director, screenwriter and video editor based in Buckinghamshire. In July of 2021, his IPhone-Shot short film, a hitman story titled "One-Minute Man", was awarded Film of the Month by Into Film, a lottery funded and internationally recognised organisation. Since then, he has directed a production at Pinewood Studios, had many of his films play at film festivals and directed a film at the National Film and Television School as part of the BFI Film Academy. Most recently, he was awarded a £1000 grant by the BFI and Young Film Network to develop, produce and direct a short film that he had pitched them. This film, POLLY, is currently in the middle of a successful festival circuit, winning Best Student Film at both the Feel The Reel International Film Festival and the Alternative Film Festival, as well as being nominated for both Best Actress and Best Cinematography.
