To Win, Will You Give Up?
In a world where “success” is the ultimate goal, “To Win, Will You Give Up?” reminds us of the humanity we sacrifice to succeed at all costs — whether for material wealth, social status, fame, or win an argument over ideologies.
The video follows a power-hungry character who crushed everyone in her way to heaven. She expects the ultimate rewards at the top, but faces emptiness instead. There are 2 different worlds, the conscious v.s. the shadow world, which is this character's subconscious. She constantly ignores the voices of conscience that try to pull her back to her ethical side.
Through thought-provoking lyrics, dramatic symbolism, and cinematic music composition, the video will prompt the audience to reflect on their own life and if they're living life meaningfully.

Are you living a life that's meaningful to you?
That's one of the questions Tamlin wants to ask you through her music.
Motivated by her passion for music and studies in psychology, Tamlin aims to help listeners deal with nihilism in the modern world. Her thought-provoking lyrics and cinematic composition will take you on a journey to explore the depth of your psyche and ask fundamental, existential questions.
Growing up as a third culture kid in cities like Bangkok, Toronto, and Christchurch, Tamlin showed interest in eclectic styles of music from a young age. Trained as a classical pianist and a mezzo-soprano vocalist, she started performing in musical theatre from the age of nine, including renditions of Oliver! and Dreamgirls. By high school, she was writing acoustic folk songs and chamber music pieces. In 2012, she became the lead vocalist of the metal rock band Beyond Apollo. The band gained over a million views on YouTube before disbanding in 2015.
Reemerging as a solo artist in 2021, her genre-bending music has been described as cinematic, theatrical pop, and alternative rock without the guitar. Tamlin cited her influences ranging from Evanescence, Aurora, Lily Allen, Rina Sawayama, and Tom Waits. Being an avid gamer, she also draws inspiration from her favourite soundtracks like The Witcher and Divinity series.
Through this music video, I wanted to talk about people who would do anything to win — whether for material wealth, social status, fame, or win an argument over ideologies.
There are times when we’re so blinded by our goals that we would degrade our morals and lose our humanity to get to the top. It might feel good for a while to be rich and successful or famous on social media. But is it worth it to lose everything else?
