Director Statement

To Kyiv and Back is a personal, on the ground account of the tragedy that is the war in Ukraine. It is meant to portray first hand my experiences as a filmmaker while traveling across the country, focusing on the capital and the nearby towns to the north that were occupied by the Russian military, just a day after their liberation. The mission is to bring the horrors of war and suffering to the viewer, so they understand the suffering of the victims of this senseless war.
