Hello, my name is Tishon Pugh and I'm a screenwriter.
I hail from Valdosta, Georgia, but claim Sumter, South Carolina as my home. Growing up in the slow-paced south, I found refuge in films, my favorite genre being science fiction. A natural-born writer and camera-shy introvert, short stories and poems soon turned into screenplays and freelance articles. Most of my inspiration stems from my obsession with the mistakes I've made in life which turn out to be great writing material.
Aside from writing, I enjoy getting lost while traveling, cooking and occasional rewatches of my favorite tv show, New Girl.
My mission and goal as a filmmaker? Make film more accessible to rural areas in the south, expose low-income children to the world of cinema and make the south more mainstream with my production company, South Speaks.
