Director Biography - Mike Schwab

Mike Schwab has always enjoyed producing comedy. When he was given an opportunity to produce comedy sketches for a show 14 years ago, he ran with it. After writing and producing over 50 sketches, he moved into making funny films. He has produced 15 films since, and he has enjoyed participating in film festivals, 48-hour and 72-hour film contests, and showcasing his movies at short film showcases.

Director Statement

Making fun of the Santa story brings me joy. When I organized a Christmas comedy film showcase, I got excited about it. I was thinking of various twists to the Santa story, and I landed on this idea that he doesn't actually like Christmas. It would be funny if it's just something he does for the money. Adding the unexpected relationship between the two elves was a fun bonus, and having all of them come together to deal with the lies they're living was a nice way to wrap it up.
