"The Shifting of Timelines and Alternating Realities" short film by Jojo Buchmann

Jojo Buchmann documents their experiences of summer 2022 to early 2023 where they challenge and question reality from perception. Is it all an illusion on this physical plane? How does one differentiate the tangible vs. intangible in a world of contrast? Key themes include: stillness of nature, chaos of modern day human experience, as well as how they coexist and find harmony. This film also questions the direction human evolution is headed with the overtaking of man made technology. The process of this film includes facilitating the connection with one's higher self by channeling and translating higher frequencies and light codes to be received by Earth's inhabitants.

Director Biography - Jojo Buchmann

My work tells the story of my experience as a person of Japanese / Venezuelan / German descent growing up and living in the conservative state of Arkansas. My current art practice explores what it is like to be my authentic self including themes of femininity , queerness, and gender nonconformity. I use my art as a tool to bring awareness and educate others on issues such as the Venezuelan crisis, dementia, mental health topics, spirituality, and being your authentic self. My art shows others that they can turn their pain and trauma into self love, beauty, and authenticity. I believe in a world where everyone is worthy and deserving of love, respect, kindness, and acceptance. My paintings can be described as expressive, colorful, and full of texture. My mediums include painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, videography, poetry, dance, happening art installations, sculpture, and sound design.

Director Statement

The intent of this video is to have the viewer question if the way they live their life sustains their wellbeing. With technology impacting humanities evolution greater than we can understand, it is imperative that we bring awareness and encouragement to one another to live a life suited to one's happiness and wellbeing. Future goals include having this film in an art installation/exhibition accompanied by my art that covers the topics of human connectivity with nature. Funds needed to do aluminum prints of fine art photography on a large scale to include in the installation.
