"A picture says a lot. Also about the cameraman."
I knew when I was 14 that my life would revolve around filmmaking. And fortunately, everything has (almost) gone well...
I am now 33 years old and live in the heart of the Ruhr area in Germany. I feel at home here, even though it is (still) not the major film region.
In recent years, I have primarily worked as a cameraman and have increasingly taken on tasks in production organization, scriptwriting, and concept development. Since 2021, I have been taking my first steps as a writer and director in the field of art house cinema.
My camera highlights so far: "The Long Arm of the IS," a WDR production, nominated for the German Television Award 2016 for Best Documentary (Nominated: Michael Wech), and "Fragments," 8 minutes without a cut, awarded the NRW Promotion Prize at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival 2022.
