Director Statement

TILL LOVE DO US PART is a journey of a Chinese middle-class woman’s self-realization and her consciousness awakening, beneath the surface of a love story. China's middle class are rising rapidly. A stable career and a successful marriage are essential to them. The heroine of this film, a university professor, cannot escape a “model” marriage which fits the social expectation. By chance, she meets a different person in Prague which embarks a journey to find love and self-worth, and raises a question in her life: can she still change her path? This is a dangerous proposition in the Chinese context, for a woman who seem to “have it all”.
