HAIL MARY - (Pete Carroll's Greatest Moment)

HAIL MARY is the story of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll's greatest moment in coaching.
There are only three coaches in the history of football that have won a collegiate National Championship and a Super Bowl. Pete Carroll is one of these men, yet his best moment in football was neither of these accomplishments. This story is told by Pete Carroll and his coaching staff who were present for this more than special moment on a rainy November evening in 1983.

Director Statement

This project was truly a labour of love and a shared bond from the incredible events that took place on the evening of November 12th, 1983. The participants in this film recalled that night's happenings as if the game had been played yesterday. Truly an epic moment in sports. I wanted to give the unique perspective of the coaches, who recalled the events with clarity and detail as if they were the actual players in the game. You will also hear from two key players in the game, one from each team, that both went on to play in the NFL. This is truly the story of the underdog and was a very special night for all of those involved, myself included as I was a proud participant in this game, and was coached by Pete Carroll for one season in 1983.
