Artist and public school Art teacher Tiffany Besonen and her family live on a 110-year-old farmstead in Northern Minnesota. Since 2004, Besonen's art has been shown across the United States in group and solo shows. RISING is her first film. She says, "I am especially fascinated with how sculpture, dance, and film move through real space, and can help us rise above chaos and pain. Whether I am working alone or in collaboration with other artists, I see my work as an organic outgrowths. I’ve been told that my work is about energy and I agree. I respond to the energies of movement, nature, and social/psychological connections and disconnections."
