Thogari
‘Thogari’ is an extraordinary tale about an art teacher and her unique students. Upon joining Model Residential School Wadakkanchery, Priya KG, a teacher specializing in fine arts, entered what seemed like an ordinary residential school for children from scheduled caste and scheduled tribe backgrounds.
The lives of the students, who came from far-flung tribal hamlets, underwent a profound transformation once she discovered the exceptional talents they had hidden within them.
Art became not only their educational pursuit but also their medium of learning. Priya's every action aimed at empowering the children and providing them with opportunities to fully explore their potential.
This 30-minute documentary highlights the transformative intervention of Priya KG in the lives of a group of tribal students who had strayed from the mainstream education system. Through her efforts, she successfully redirected their paths and provided them with a renewed sense of purpose. The documentary showcases the inspiring journey of these students as Priya KG helps them rediscover their passion for learning, effectively redrawing the course of their lives.
