This was a House
This video short is an ode to a piece of rubble, pulled from the site of a demolished house in Sheikh Jarrah. The opening video, shot by Mona Gazala, shows the artist's hands as she holds this artifact and grapples with its emotional weight. The closing video was shot by the artist Noor Abuarafeh, on the site where she collected the rubble and set it on its journey to Gazala in the U.S. The sounds of children playing in a West Bank playground were collected by Muna Hishmeh.
