Phillip Abraham is an award-winning filmmaker, musician, and actor most recognized as the writer/director of the feature film COVER ME (Danny Trejo, Jesse Metcalfe). He wrote and directed the full-length documentary VOLVIENDO: THE ROOTS OF THE LATIN SEX TRADE. Before acting in HBO's BALLERS and ABC Freeform's GOOD TROUBLE, he traveled to 20 countries and wrote four produced feature films. Abraham uses filmmaking as a way of connecting his audience to challenging and unique perspectives.
This project came right from the bleeding heart of Canaan Sanders. His impassioned drive to constantly create from the soul makes collaboration feel like a warm campfire on a starry night. Not surprisingly, his warmth and love for people exude from this project, especially in the perfect cast that Anna Steers brought to us. After our SINGLE DAY of shooting, we all felt like family. And that makes this grown-up family film all the more personal to each of us. You'll quickly see that this project was a group effort, and I'm honored to help bring the remarkable talents of such amazing people to the screen.
