Klorn, an alien, travels across the Galaxy on a hunch that there's life on Earth. Little does he know he's 400 years too late to meet the messenger who he first discovered. That doesn't stop Klorn from befriending a human teenager and making the galaxy a lot smaller.

Writer Biography - James Kenna

James Kenna (he/him/his) is a writer, dramaturg, and actor.

He's been an apprentice or resident writer at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Hangar Theatre, Vivid Stage (resident playwright), The New Jersey Play Lab, and The 52nd Street Project.

Writer Statement

James, in addition to his artistic work, has been a union Ironworker in NYC, an Account Executive in Tech, and a longtime teacher. He's had the privilege of knowing people from all walks of life, and he's passionate about bringing their untold stories to the page/screen.

Particularly, stories concerned with blue-collar folk, mental health, substance abuse, hope, and childhood imagination fuel James across genres.

James is committed to using any platforms his writing gains to increase the diversity, mentorship, and accessibility of film and theatre.
