They Dance
"They Dance" is a short documentary film about same-sex ballroom dancing in the U.K.. The film follows the journey of two couples, who are both dance partners and life partners, as they search for belonging through dancing. It is a film about dancing, about equality, and about love.

Shiming Wang is a Chinese filmmaker, currently living and working in London. She was born in China and gained Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Melbourne, Australia. Later she attended MA Documentary Filmmaking at Queen Mary, University of London. Shiming mainly focuses on documentary-filmmaking, but also creates video installation art and theatre shows.
Shiming is currently developing a short VR documentary reflecting the beauty of slowness in this increasingly speeded up and mechanised production world.
