An elderly and honest Bolot works as a heating man at a village school. When the coal in his house finishes, his wife persuades him to steal coal from the school, despite the school’s small supply.

Director Biography - Samara Sagynbaeva

Samara Sagynbaeva was born on August 13, 1990, in Kyrgyzstan. She completed her journalism studies at the Kyrgyz National University of Jusup Balasgyn in Bishkek and worked as a journalist for the local radio "Sanjyra". Now, currently living in Prague and studying at FAMU International.

Director Statement

I made the film as part of my application to study at FAMU International and they accepted me.
About the idea, I personally know this story. My Dad's brother worked at school in a village as a heating man.
This film is not only about my Dad's brother, about corruption, but also ecological and immigration concerns.
