Kashmir's Sinking Boats
Synopsis: Kashmir's Sinking Boats
In the serene waters of Kashmir's Dal and Nigeen Lakes, where the Himalayas stand guard, a poignant tragedy unfolds silently. Once icons of luxury and tranquillity, the houseboats of Kashmir are now sinking relics, carrying with them the aspirations and histories of families that once called them home.
Kashmir's Sinking Boats is a compelling documentary that delves deep into this unfolding crisis. Against the backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty, the film unveils the neglect and decay that have besieged these floating homes. It chronicles the struggles of families as they navigate daily life amidst the threat of their homes submerging into the depths. Each sinking boat tells a unique story of resilience, survival, and the enduring spirit of a community facing an uncertain future.
