Aaron Bartuska is a 25-year-old filmmaker. He has been making films with his friends for years. His debut feature Epilogue was made during the summer going into his sophomore year of college, and his second feature For Roger played at numerous horror film festivals around the world. He is currently in post-production on two feature films, These Are My Friends! and The Yardley Boys. When he is not making films, he works full-time as a high school Film Production & Film Studies teacher in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
These Are My Friends! is a film that aims to capture one of the most special feelings in the world, to me at least: the feeling of being surrounded by friends at a party. As my friends and I get older, what we look back on most fondly are the nights when we would all get together and not have to worry about classes the next day, or our personal lives, or our day jobs. We were together and we were having fun and that was all that mattered. It gets harder and harder to have these nights now that so many of us are living different lifestyles in different parts of the world, so what better way to emulate that feeling than to make a movie about a party? I asked all of my closest friends if they would trust me with their time and effort, and here's what we have to show for it!
I, and the entire These Are My Friends! team, hope you enjoy the film.
