Thermostrata_
Roommates' rage runs red amidst tension over who touched the thermostat. The age old battle of aggression and neutrality points to conflict that is greater than humanity itself.

Best Director
Ian Kastner is an aspiring filmmaker who has been grafted into the world of business and numbers. Filmmaking has been his creative outlet since he first picked up a camera. Ian is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, but attends school at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He studies finance, mathematics, and film there where he plans to graduate in May of 2021. Ian has always had a passion for telling stories through cinema. The floodgates were opened for Ian’s filmmaking career when was able to take T.V. Broadcasting in high school. There he created two films for his school's film festival in which he won five awards, including best picture and best screenplay. Ian's college experience felt incomplete without film, so he added it as a minor after his sophomore year and it has already proven to be a great source of joy for him. He has created one film at Baylor, Thermostrata_(2019), and looks forward to making another.
Thermostrata_ is my take on the one thing people have in common. Conflict. I, for one, am not above it, and I strain to think of anyone that is. Whether it's with people, nature, or oneself, conflict will find us, so best to laugh at it while we can.
