On the surface, this is a mystery film. But on the deeper level, it's about the ineffable feeling of being drawn to something. The house is like a lantern, and Mikael is the moth drawn to it. This is a film about our childhoods, innocence, and using memories to make sense of the world. This film is about manifestations - of fear, hope, doubt, success... And strangely enough, I finished writing this film only a couple months before my fiancée and I bought our first house and found out we were having a baby girl.
