Experiencing Interruptions?

The reflection of the lake

The second biggest lake of Bolivia "lake Poopo" is now a salty desert. A big part of the lake communities such as the Aymaras and Urus, migrated to the exterior, others work in mining which contributes to a great extent of the contamination and drought of the lake Poopo.

Director's motivation

my motivation was born after reading a news in the newspaper about the drought of the lake, then I met Andres Huanca (research anthropologist), not being able to believe that the second largest lake in Bolivia is dry, gave us a lot of nostalgia and Curiosity, we wanted to know what was going on, if it was an environmental catastrophe really, and what were the reasons for it, and in what situation are surrounding communities, an intrigue invaded us knowing that cultures near the lake could be extinguished
