The other side of the coin
The first film about street musicians in the city of Porto and the Pippermint Twist project of the 80's! PORTO. Accelerated days to the sound of the music of the street artists. We dropped a coin, we went on, but what stories hide "behind the coin"!? From the streets to the stage, from the limelight to the streets. Souls seeking food, bodies seeking sustenance, but in the end only music survives.
Luís Moya enters the street life, revealing the humanity behind hard lives, living with these musicians and showing us their original personalities.

Life is not always predisposed to let each person's dreams come true. My passion and struggle is to make films and show them to the world, these street artists have the desire to be professional musicians and perform on big stages. They do not get carried away by the pressures of social status and every day they go to the streets and do what they love most.
Several genuine characters are the “face” of downtown Porto, after some time of familiarity with me,they let their lives, stories and difficulties unfold to the camera lens. We discover who are those people sitting on the floor, with a box of shoes ahead, which are often discriminated and classified as beggars.
It is this close relationship between Director with camera in hand and street artists, that the film conveys a very personal vision and a strong link between both.
“The other side of the coin” reveals and does not exploit street artists.
I intend it to be a Human experience and a reflection for everyone who seeks happiness and the achievement of their dreams.
We must continue to strive to do what we like best and learn to be happy with little. A daily and constant battle that ends only when death arrives.
