The neighborhood must be defended

The documentary "The neighborhood must be defended" is the chronicle of the struggle that the neighborhood of Barceloneta starred in since 2005, with the imposition of the so-called "Plan of the Elevators" -which expelled 1000 families- until mobilizations against the Reform of the Old Port of 2015. In other words, it gathers the resistance of some neighbors and some neighbors who do not want to see turned their neighborhood of working and fishing origin, into a theme park for the tourism. At the same time, it portrays the human quality of the people who are leading these mobilizations linked both to the Carrer dels Pescadors Festival Committee, as well as to the Associació de Veïns de l’Òstia and to the Platform in Defense of Barceloneta.
