Director Statement

In a moment in history where on social networks you can go back in time and discover the past of any person, I tried to tell a linear story that reflected the theme of revenge from a passive point of view. The motive behind the action, the past of these characters and all the surrounding elements (including symbologies and narrative solutions), can be - and I would like them to be - freely interpreted by viewers according to their own experience. The Meeting is a short film that touches on different themes without catching them. It’s elusive, cryptic, unsolved. It does not seek the empathy of the observer but the morbid curiosity that comes from the act of observation, the passive participation in a potentially dangerous event.
