The lowlives of Osaka

In Japan, COVID-19 was even more cruel to the underdogs of society.
As their lives are being threatened, people of the lower class in Osaka formed “Osaka Sit-in Movement” demanding compensation.
The homeless, freelance masseuses, hostesses of the nightlife district,
temporary workers at the hospital exclusively treating COVID-19, private tutors with no work and refugees trying to escape from Fukushima radiation have joined the “Osaka Sit-in Movement.”
Through the lives of these people fighting for survival, we take a close look at the seriousness of COVID-19 and humanism that goes beyond the borders.
