Director Biography - Miguel de Moya

Miguel De Moya is a young Dominican filmmaker based in Santo Domingo. He studied Audiovisual Communication and Cinematographic Arts at the PUCMM, graduated in 2020. He has worked as a cinematographer and screenwriter in Dominican short films recognized as "Fantasmagoría" (FICFA 2016) and "La Casa de Asterión" (SMC 2018). Winner of best director and best short film in the Semana Más Corta 2018, the biggest student film festival in his country, with his short film "La Casa de Asterión", and then cinematography in 2019 for the folk documentary "Palo Muerto" by Óscar Perez and Mary Ferreira (SMC 2019). Since childhood, his passion has been classic horror movies and how it mixes with folklore.
