The line

The body is the map of fury. The weariness calls. It tries to get out. Appears, it's abysmal. Second-class woman citizens want to run away. They gather among themselves, they make a herd from hell.
They hold misery.
They hold the screams.
They hold.
The fed up body is the fang of a hungry wolf. Wait on the prowl for disaster. And when the end appears there will be a banquet with pieces of meat. And tongues will be cut out so that they stop speaking. They will dance on the remains. And there they will be:

The tired
The hysterics
The whores
The rude
The scoundrels
The intense
The saccades
The fangirls

The body screams, shakes, grabs, clings to the only thing left. Knowing that it is a body, that it has veins, blood, muscles and skin that stands on end. That has the strength of a mountain. The intensity of a river that follows its course. Can step on heads. Can be silent. And it can not take it anymore.

Director Statement

“La linea” is a video art or video dance short film starring Silvina Villalba, a dancer and worker at line 144 for women who are victims of gender-based violence. The dance of a body that listens to the cries of companions every day. A search to sublimate and accompany through video and movement: dance the pain, dance the overfilling.

La danza de un cuerpo que escucha el llanto de compañeras todos los días. Una búsqueda de sublimar y acompañar a través del video y el movimiento: bailar el dolor, bailar el hartazgo.
