The knitted tales " is short film that delves into the emotional journey of Rubi, a young girl living in a
war-torn city, eagerly awaiting her father's return from the battlefield. Coping with profound
loneliness, Rubi constructs an intricate fantasy world where her father is ever-present, and
everything around her is crafted from crochet or transformed into soft toys.
As Rubi's yearning for her father return , she receives a cassette from him, urging her to listen to
it at midnight. Filled with excitement and longing, she responds by pouring her heart out in a
letter, detailing her daily activities and the imaginative world she has created. Yet, amidst the
stories of her fantasy lies the dark reality of her isolation, revealing the depths of her loneliness.
Tragedy strikes when Rubi learns from a radio broadcast that her father's military unit has been
martyred. Devastated, she listens to his cassette message, finding solace in his words of love
and encouragement. Determined to persevere, Rubi bakes a cake as a symbol of her resilience
and strength in the face of adversity. As his father mentioned that he wish that he can eat cake
with her on her birthday.
As the day pass, Rubi's home undergoes a transformation, with everything breaking free from
