Based in Faro, Portugal.
Director of 5 short-films exhibited around the world, including on the Shortfilm Corner of the Cannes Film Festival.
Producer of a cross-continent trilogy of documentaries for the up-and-coming portuguese director Ana Monteiro.
Shot between Faro and Olhão, Portugal.
The whole production process of this movie occurred in ONLY ONE WEEK and was done by ONLY TWO PEOPLE (besides the cast): from the writing of the screenplay to the post-production work. It was meant to challenge a group of high-school students to do the same.
The movie was inspired by the producers' life at the time: going back and forth between their hometowns and Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The contrast between a city overcrowded with young failing artists and a seaside town swarming with tourists, gave us the spark. Inspired by Donald Glover's 'Atlanta' and the news of a 3-year-old lost girl found alone in the middle of the street at 4 a.m, incited a non-sense 'drame-dy', where the line between what's funny and what's serious is blurred.
Due to the nature of the project, the cast agreed to work on the movie before they knew what the screenplay was going to be about. Conan Osíris, the portuguese representative in the 2019 Eurovision contest, found the movie to be humorous: henceforth, allowing the use of one of his songs.
