The impossible will be done

During three days of rehearsals, a group of artists with intellectual disabilities use music as a powerful tool for self-affirmation. A story that tells the evolution of disability in Spain while showing the preparation of a unique concert.

In the 1960s, during the Spanish dictatorship, the first associative movements for the rights of people with disabilities began. At that time, there were no laws that allowed this, so they were continually persecuted or repressed by local authorities.

In April 2024, 38 artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities from all over Spain join a professional orchestra to perform a concert to remember the union of their organizations. What begins as an anniversary celebration becomes a journey of self-affirmation for them and their relatives.

Although much progress has been made since then, the struggle to move forward continues today.
