Ijeoma Ukasoanya is a graduate of theatre and film studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and hold a Professional Diploma in Education from Babcock University.
In a period spanning more than 5 years’ experience in the education, development, and entertainment sectors, Ijeoma has undertaken series of projects, including the production of an indigenous stage drama titled the "wedlock of the gods", for which she served as the director. She has also demonstrated above average competence in script-writing, very recently completing her most outstanding work, Nisantar. The piece being a fictional narrative of the abduction of over 200 school girls from Chibok, a small county in North East Nigeria.
Ijeoma has won several awards. In 2017, she won the British council film hustle competition, and in 2018 she was also awarded a master class scholarship by one of Nigeria's notable film makers- Kemi Adetiba.
She is the Creative Writing Fellowship Project Director at Rebook Africa.
