Director Biography - Michel Alzaga

Mexican clown and artist, stage director and video artist. His work has focused on two aspects: comedy and dance. His processes are crossed by physical humor and cinema.
A full-time teacher, his approach to the circus took place at the Vancouver circus school and then he entered the Jalisco School of Arts with a focus on performing arts and a diploma in film at the University of Guadalajara. He has continued his studies in clown and physical theater in Brazil, Spain and Argentina. His artistic references touch on performance, painting, comedy cinema, butoh dance and contemporary circus.
