Jake Hays, a Hollywood native, was born into the heart of the entertainment industry. As the son of actor Robert Hays (Airplane!) and musician Cherie Currie (The Runaways), it was no surprise Hays would follow in his parents’ footsteps. Having discovered his creativity early on, Hays began writing his own films at the age of six, and later developed a knack for production design, film editing, scoring, foley and sound design. A creative director at heart, he pays extreme attention to detail, being involved with most projects from beginning to end. His 2016 short film “Take Me With You” of which he co-directed and starred in, has already won two awards, including Best Comedy at the Playhouse West 72 Hour Film Festival. On November 9th 2018, Hays lost his house, along with all of his production equipment, in the Southern California Woolsey Fire. In the following weeks, he rebuilt his production load-out to produce, direct, and act in his latest short, "The Heart".
