The World On Fire Film Festival was founded to provide promotional opportunities to filmmakers from all over the world. Utilizing our network with various podcasts, radio shows, and theaters we provide our top tier winners with much needed promotional support for their film.

The World On Fire Film Festival recognizes excellence in filmmaking in several categories with the World On Fire Film Awards. We award deserving films in the following categories: Narrative Feature Film, Documentary Feature Film, Narrative Short Film, Documentary Short Film, Directing, Editing, Acting, and Originality in Film.

Tired of spending money on film festivals that do nothing for you? Us too. Films are judged in two ways. Each film that is submitted will receive either a Bronze, Silver, or Gold award based upon how it is received by the judges. So everyone that submits gets something for their film. Beyond that we will award the top tier films for specific categories, and provide those winners with promotional opportunities.

Officially Selected Films will be given the opportunity to have their films screened at The Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis, MN. The top award winners will receive promotional help exposing their work to thousands from several podcasts and radio shows across the U.S. Awards will be announced via our official website, targeted email blast, social media, radio, and internet promotional channels. It is requested, though not required, that awards won be mentioned in the promotional materials of the films being awarded.

More than being an opportunity to see your film on the big screen, The World On Fire Film Festival is dedicated to helping create opportunities for truly independent filmmakers to promote their work.
