The Women's Film Festival is an annual festival during Women's History Month in March that showcases work made by and/or about women. This year, it will be held in September 2023 due to the pandemic delaying our season. The Women's Film Festival is the only event of its kind in Philadelphia that celebrates and elevates women in film and television.

Since October 2014, The Women's Film Festival has presented hundreds of culturally relevant films and exciting programming to broad and diverse audiences in the Greater Philadelphia region. Past main venues included the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center of Performing Arts, Caplan Theater at the University of the Arts, Drexel URBN Annex Screening Room, National Liberty Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art Ruth and Raymond G Perelman Building, The Lightbox Center, The Suzanne Roberts Theater, Masonic Temple, Neighborhood House at Christ Church, and Fleisher Art Memorial.

The Philadelphia Women's Film Festival is a festival with a lot of heart. It was a singular act of courage for the festival organizers to bring back this festival after Covid. The films were meaningful and sincere. The festival also understands the struggles of being a small, independent feature and does it's best to encourage and assist it's filmmakers which I really appreciated.

I was delighted that my film, Gypsy Rose Leezinski, was an official selection of The Women's Film Festival! Hats off to Suzi, Phuong, and Adah for their welcoming spirit and support. We had a wonderful time in Philadelphia—Suzi even gave us a walking tour of Philly one evening—and I so enjoyed meeting and hanging out with the talented filmmakers and actors who were in attendance. Many thanks!

While I was not unable to attend in person, I was so impressed with the richness of programming for this festival, and the friendly and helpful communication with the organisers. During these times when women's and human rights are being eroded, it is so important that such a festival exists
