Mind Over Murder (Le amiche)

In a tea room, Paola and her friend Angela plan to kill her husband.
The tone of the conversation initially appears superficial and naïve but the story could take a tremendously serious turn.

In una sala da tè, Paola e la sua amica Angela progettano di uccidere il marito. Il tono della conversazione appare inizialmente superficiale e ingenuo ma la storia potrebbe prendere una piega tremendamente seria. "Una persona davvero in gamba può commettere un omicidio usando solo il cervello."

Director Biography - Roberto Carli, Riccardo Ricci

Roberto Carli
Born in 1948, always passionate about cinema, self-taught since the early 70s, he began shooting short films in super 8.
His interest has always been directed towards somewhat autobiographical stories of his life where we can find many aspects of the peasant life of the past.
He made two short films on this theme:
The reel and the fatted calf.
Together with Riccardo Ricci he then directed the short film Le amiche (Mind Over Murder)
Collaborates with a national amateur film school (FEDIC).

Roberto Carli
Classe 1948 da sempre appassionato di cinema autodidatta dai primi anni ‘70 inizia a girare cortometraggi in super8.
Da sempre il suo interesse spesso è rivolto a storie un po’ autobiografiche della sua vita dove possiamo trovare molti aspetti della vita contadina di un tempo.
Su questo tema realizza due cortometraggi:
Il mulinello e Il vitello grasso.
Insieme a Riccardo Ricci dirige poi il cortometraggio Le amiche (Mind Over Murder)
Collabora con una scuola di cinema nazionale amatoriale (FEDIC)

Riccardo Ricci
He was born in Lucca in 1962
He attended the Carrara Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated as a set designer in 1988.
Passionate about animation, he makes some animated films with friends.
Since the beginning of the 80s he has collaborated with Roberto Carli for the realization of some short films.
He currently works as a videographer and editor for wedding services.
The film "Le amiche" (Mind Over Murder) was born from the collaboration with Roberto Carli and with the help of many friends who collaborated in the making.

Riccardo Ricci
Nasce a Lucca nel 1962
Frequenta l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara dove si laurea come scenografo nel 1988.
Appassionato di animazione realizza con amici alcuni film d’animazione.
Dagli Inizi degli anni '80 ha collaborato con Roberto Carli per la realizzazione di alcuni cortometraggi.
Attualmente lavora come operatore video e montaggio per servizi di matrimonio.
Il film “Le amiche” (Mind Over Murder) nasce dalla collaborazione con Roberto Carli e con l’aiuto di molti amici che hanno collaborato alla realizzazione.
