The Withered Ghoul's Ceremony

An all-powerful entity struggles to make the perfect pair of humans. Through trial and error, the withered ghoul becomes frustrated with the characteristics of the humans by testing their curiosity, self-control, gratitude, and guilt. The humans are forced to perform unbearable acts, inevitably causing a cycle of life and death. The two hope to one day escape the withered ghoul's ceremony.

Director Statement

As my first film, I hope to create a work that indulges the viewer on an intimate level. I created this film to invite my audience into a world that has only ever existed within my mind. For the past two years, it has been a long journey in being able to translate my original script into film. Thanks to a number of artists and friends that were willing to help create my vision, I finally got the chance to create my first short. "The Withered Ghoul's Ceremony" taught me many lessons along the way, but it was through this project that I was able to share my own short story with others.
